Salvation

Who has sinned?

Romans 3: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV)

"We are all in need of forgiveness from God."

Romans 3: 10-12
10. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.(KJV)

"No matter how good we think we are living our lives there are times when we are alone and ask "Is that all there is?"

Isaiah 53: 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.(KJV)

"We all need spiritual guidance. God has made it available for all through the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ."

Wages of Sin is Death.

Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(KJV)

"This is not just a physical death. Those not with God are already dead within."

1 Corinthians 15: 21-22
21. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)

"Our heritage of sin and death come from Adam who partook of the Tree of Knowledge after being told he could eat of any tree in the garden except the Tree of Knowledge. We always want what we are not supposed to have. But, through Jesus Christ, we can have eternal life with our Father in Heaven."

Redemption through Love and Sacrifice.

Romans 5: 7-8
7. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV)

"Is it not wonderful, that someone loved you enough to allow himself to be sacrificed so that you may receive forgiveness and have eternal life."

John 3: 16-17
16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (KJV)

"Even as easy as it would have been to turn his back on mankind, God instead provided a Saviour for you and I."

1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (KJV)

"Not only did Christ die for us, God resurrected him after three days to show us that life is everlasting and that death has no hold on him."

How to be forgiven.

Acts 16: 30-33
30. And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.(KJV)

"Such a small requirement for such a huge return. Just to believe – to be saved!"

Romans 10: 9-13
9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV)

If the Holy Spirit through God's Word has convinced you that you are a sinner, lost and separated from God, then it is time to do something about it. The Bible says in 2Corinthians 6:2 that "...NOW is the accepted time behold NOW is the day of salvation."

If you are serious about being saved you must be willing to:

REPENT, which means to turn from your sin and self righteousness and trust in Jesus Christ and him alone with all your heart. Ephesians 1:12 says "That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. Vs.13 In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,..."

Luke13:5 "..."except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

BELIEVE FROM THE HEART, Romans 10:9-10 " If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and blieve in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Salvation is not joining a religion, being baptized in water, drinking wine or eating wafers. Salvation is not doing good deeds or keeping comandments. Salvation is completely trusting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour!

WHAT TO DO NOW : Call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour. " As many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God."

PRAY: From your heart in your own words talk to Jesus about your heart condition. Tell Him how sorry you are for your sins. Sincerely ask Him to come into your heart and save you. Romans 10:13 " For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

What to do after Salvation

Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.(KJV)

"The joy we receive when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour is only the beginning of a fantastic journey. This journey needs to be accomplished by finding a Christian Church you can journey and grow with."

Acts 2: 41-42
41. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (KJV)

"To devote ourselves to the study of God's word and the mission of the Church is the only way to grow and truly appreciate God's love for us."
